Thank you for your interest in our website and our real estate services.
I have over 30 years sales and marketing experience, starting with the road-side lemonade stand business I organized when I was a kid. I refined my knowledge of French working as a bartender/waiter in Montreal while I completed my schooling. After graduating from business at John Abbott College in Montreal I completed my Bachelor of Arts at Carleton University in Ottawa. While going to Ottawa, I co-managed an insulation contracting operation in Montreal. The company closed after the Canadian Home Insulation Program grants came to an end.
Since my school days, I worked for half a dozen years as a home renovation rep and then was employed as a director of a small marketing company in Montreal. For the last nine years my wife and I have been running a small waterfront vacation rental business in the 1000 Islands area. Please see the sister website for this one, www.afantasticplace.com for more details. You will notice that the website address is identical to this one, except that it is .com rather than .ca
Over the years, many of our rental clients have mentioned they may wish to retire in the 1000 Islands area. So it seemed like a natural progression to begin a new career marketing and buying homes.
If you need some assistance to find a home or building lot, whether it is in town or in the country please take a few minutes to check out this website. If none of these homes or lots are suitable, please contact me via my direct phone, 613-340-0794 or by e-mail and I can redirect you to a few other websites that may be of interest. Or I can do some further research on your behalf, under no obligation whatsoever. I only need your basic search criterion to get things started: preferred location, style of home, number of bedrooms, bathrooms, formal dining?, garage?, move-in condition or fixer upper? Of course the more information you can provide me with, the easier it is to find the right home or lot for you! If at all possible, it is a good idea to sit down in person or spend some time on the telephone to discuss your requests and to explain our buyer's service package.
Although www.mls.ca has improved its coverage immensely recently, it still does not provide, at time of writing, instant access to all new listings. Since I am a member of both the Ottawa and Rideau St. Lawrence Real Estate boards, I can sometimes find you detailed listing information about a home or lot that you may not have access to on your own. Please keep in mind that if you are driving in the area and see a property that is of interest, please write down the civic number and the listing realtor, and call me or send me an email. I can forward you the relevant data, price, etc. with undue delay!
If you become really serious about a property, I would be happy to work for you as a buyer's agent. I can book appointments to view the properties. Based on my construction experience, I can point out any defects I may see as we go through the homes, and offer any comments or criticisms. Most importantly I can help you with any paperwork and help negotiate a competitive price if you do one day find a property that you like. Working for you as your official, or even unofficial agent does not obligate you to buy a property at any time. I am a hard working and punctual person. If you have never worked with an agent before or had a bad experience with another sales rep, I would suggest viewing three or four homes with me. After that time you will know if we can work together successfully or not! I am sure we can!!
If you have any questions, I am easiest to reach via my direct e-mail or my cellular telephone, 613-340-0794. I can make your search for a home or lot as easy and stress-free as possible. As mentioned, I can provide you with professional service with a smile, and of course a few laughs along the way! Please see the Contact Randy section of this website for more contact information including how to reach me at no charge if you are calling from Ottawa.
Have a truly fantastic day!

CHRIS'S EXPERIENCE
As a professional fundraiser, Chris has raised over 10 million Dollars for various Charities in Eastern Ontario. While in this professional capacity he and his wife, Cheryl were active in the community and fostered many children from the Brockville Children’s Aid Society, while also raising their own 5 children. His love of working with children developed into ‘Fresh Start Youth Services” which celebrated it’s 10th Anniversary in 2009. This youth care system with an attached therapeutic riding program employs 35 full and part time employees in our community and more importantly assists twenty disadvantaged youth from our community in their struggle to achieve family or independent living goals. The real estate research, acquisition, and subsequent property management acquired during these years developed his love of real estate investing and subsequent licensing as a real estate sales representative. He has been investing in rental properties for over a decade and considers the 416 corridor and the St. Lawrence River / Thousand Island area to have many exciting investment opportunities. Chris and his family live on the bank of the Majestic St. Lawrence near Prescott.
